Digital Dentistry at Our Campbelltown Studio
Welcome to the future of dentistry!
We use digital scanning and imaging for most treatment planning, which means fewer impressions, fewer appointments in some cases, and a plan you can see on screen before you agree to it.
With digital dentistry, we're revolutionising traditional dental practices, offering more precise diagnostics, faster treatments and enhanced patient experiences. If you would like to know how any of this applies to your own treatment, ask us at your appointment.
3D scanning, instead of putty moulds
One of the key advancements we've integrated into our practice is the use of intraoral scanners. The scanner captures a 3D image of your teeth and gums in a few minutes, so most people no longer need putty impression material. The scan is used to design crowns, bridges and implant restorations, and to show you the proposed result before work begins.

3D scanning, and appliances printed from your scan
We take a 3D digital scan of your teeth here in the studio. That scan is sent to a dental laboratory, where models, surgical guides and appliances are 3D printed from it. Working from a scan rather than a putty impression means the laboratory receives an accurate file on the day of your appointment, and your records can be reused later without taking a new impression.

Digitally designed ceramic restorations & crowns
Crowns and ceramic restorations are designed digitally from your scan, then made by a dental laboratory. Designing on screen means the shape, contour and bite are planned and reviewed before anything is made. Because the laboratory makes the restoration, a crown usually takes two visits with a temporary in between, and we will tell you at the planning stage how long yours will take.
